A lot of people comment on the consistency of our shampoos. Because the shampoos are professional grade, they must be diluted. Our specialty shampoos (Filthy Animal, Oatmeal and Flea) are all supposed to be diluted at 50:1. We usually dilute them at 30:1 but they are still fairly watery. The reason for the watery consistency is so that the shampoo can make it through all your dogs fur to their skin. It also rinses cleanly from your dog's coat. Under-rinsing can be a huge problem. It can cause your dog to be itchy after his or her bath and no one wants that! I always say - once you are done rinsing, rinse TWICE more! Please feel free to use as much shampoo as you feel you need to work up a good lather. We usually recommend using an entire bottle. If you need more than one bottle, feel free to ask. We're more than happy to oblige. Our main line is The Coat Handler shampoos and conditioners. These shampoos are very mild and we think they work very well.
For itchy skin, we provide Kelco Oats Fur Coats shampoo which helps skin problems such as dandruff and dry and itchy skin. This shampoo is soap and detergent free and contains the silkiest colloidal oatmeal available. It is not recommended for pets with open sores.
For flea control, we use Kelco Dr. Fl33. It is an ultra high concentrate pesticide alternative shampoo that does not contain soap or detergent. It is made with the "Fantastic 5" (Eucalyptus oil, D'Limonene, Cedar oil, Tea Tree oil and Neem oil). It also gently removes grease, oil odors and dirt without drying the skin or coat. DR. FL33 is mild, pH balanced, natural, biodegradable and safe to use with flea control drops.
